Are all the 3000GT's manual or are certain ones automatic? (I prefer an automatic). It's not for racing...just to have a great-looking car that runs exceptionally well. Well, it's been great visiting your website...hopefully you'll have more pictures soon...oh yeah, could you include some price lists too? Thanks...please e-mail me with some good info about the GT's and a lot of pictures too!!! From: XPUCTUHA82 @ aol.com

Hey whats up? I just sold my '89 camaro covertible and got a '91 VR4. Needless to say it was a major change for the better!!! I'm looking for performance upgrades (as if its not fast enough) such as super chips, good intake, and a good exhaust. The problem is not finding the info it's finding a price. Can someone help me? I would also like some suggestions for the best upgrade for my money. Please,if you could, try to dig up some specs for the '91 VR4's. VR4'S RULE BABY!!!!!!!

Just bought a 95 SL with 4800 miles, yes 4800...cherry, loaded, every option, 3 year/36000 warranty! My first new car in 11 years, college and grad school days were lean! Talked them down to $21,800, cha-ching, close the deal. Awesome car...it's my day to day ride and it's perfect. Wanted an automatic (for Seattle traffic), and not a tweaky VR4 stick (though I wouldn't mind taking one up into the mountains for an afternoon. Later guys.

Very clean looking site. Too bad the 3000GT gets smoked by the TT Supra, and sad that Mitsubishi reliablity bites too. You should consider a Supra TT and leave the GT's to women where it belongs...

I read in the FAQ that other people are having trouble with the greasy film on their windows. I was able to remove and slow down the build-up using strait ammonia and paper towels. Be sure to do this in a well ventilated car. The fumes are pretty rough.

Hi guys nice site. I just purchased a 91 3000GT-SL and just love it. It is an automatic and when the engine is not at its normal operating tempature, it will not shift into 3rd gear unless I am over 30-35. When it is warm there is no problem. I just figured it was a safety feature.(Yes, No)? Also the check engine light comes on once and a while and has been on for a while. The car has 88000 miles on it and the timming belt was just changed(Not Cheap!!!). I am a college student and lack a huge budget to take it to the dealer. I think it might be an o2 sensor, but the car has four of them I think. I runs fine but if it is the o2 sensor it will be running rich, which will not hurt anything I think? If you guys could email with some possible solutions or ideas I would appreciate it. mismall@siue.edu

Nice Site! Looks great! I am a true beliver in the 3000GT's. I first owned a Black 93 SL. Till I found a parked car in the fast lane of the freeway! The air bags work great but just take my word for that...Don't try them unless ...well just doon't... Now I am the Proud owner of a 1995 3000GT SL SPIDER, Red!!! The open air is great. I will never part with this car!!! If you would like some Photo's of either one of them or some of the battle damage shots let me know? My email is emcgowan@mail.win.org Keep up the cool work!!!! :-) P.S. I also have a NoseBra to fit the 93 BodyStyle if any one is intrested? Great Shape!!

Hi! I recently bought a 1996 3000GT with 24000 miles for $16700 (which I think is an excellent price comparing with the others I have seen for sell). I have to say that I LOVE my car more than any other car out there. I love seeing everone stare as I drive down the road. I have had people roll down there windows and ask if it is for sale and have had people yell out, "nice car!". Out of the three cars I have owned (all mitsubishi, last two were eclipes) the 3000 is diffently the best and most eye catching. This is the best page I have found for the 3000s.

I've owned two VR-4's now, my current one being a black '97. I've also owned two Eclipse GSX's, the latest being a red '98. As much as I love the GSX, the VR-4 is worth every bit of the extra $20 grand it costs. For my needs, the car is literally perfect from top to bottom. Style, performance, handling, braking, comfort, bells & whistles, storage capacity, etc. Awesome machine! It's always kept immaculately 'spit-shined' and it never fails to generate second looks or comments...or teenagers driving circles around it in parking lots, wondering if they've just stumbled onto some new Ferrari.

That's the good news. The bad news is that I tried desperately to purchase a '99 VR-4, but the factory rep in my area said that Mitsubishi only ran off one batch of cars early in the year and that's going to be it -- not only for the year, but forever! That is UNLESS there's enough last-minute consumer clamor to warrant producing another batch in April or May (available in June).

Worse yet, the new Eclipse coming out this fall will be available with a 200 hp V6, but no turbo and no all wheel drive. If Mitsubishi wanted to reduce their sports car stable from one car to two, at least they should have considered making the new Eclipse the very best car they know how. Instead, they've taken two giant leaps backwards.

I don't think I'm the only one out there who's feeling blue. It's one thing for a manufacturer to stop producing Pinto's or Vega's; but damn...not a great piece of work like the VR-4. What would happen if those of us who CARE started bombarding Mitsubishi with threats to buy sports cars from other manufacturers? Personally, my next vehicle may be the new supercharged Jaguar coupe due out this coming year. C'mon Mitsu-suits. Wake Up and Drive!!!

For the person that claims to have a 99 3000GTVR4 just to inform you of something nice...The 3000GT's comes with a factory alarm...For the base model it is an option for about 300 more dolaars, but for the VR4 it's a stanard option. (97-99) VR4 like mine it was an added bonus....even though the price showed it.... And for the gentleman who said a Supra TT is better...Do some research....The 3000 GT is the better handling vehicle...and maybe the Supra will beat it off the line by .1 of a second doesn't mean it is slow...However...Let's see how the Supra TT handles those slight turns that seem to not only matters what type of tires you have on the bottom, but how well the car can hold them as well....Anyhow enjoy! Love the sight keep up the work Will Beachem 98 VR4

I'd just like to add my comments to those of other GT/Stealth owners who like me, appreciate having a website for enthusiasts. I find your site to be extremely interesting as well as informative. I enjoy reading the comments in the "Discussion Forum." I've managed to learn more about my car ('91 GT-SL) using your site than by any other means. I've actually learned some tips on how to improve performance as well as maintenance advice. I check the "Discussion" column daily to read the latest on the 3KGT! Keep up the good work. (p.s. Would you consider completing the advice you listed under "Engie Tapping"? You ended by saying that you should use the stock Mitsu oil filter but the advice trailed off after that. My car does this every so often...) THANKS! GTdriver '91 GT-SL

My friend has a 1993 pearl white GT. No VR-4, 222 horse 3.0 DOHC 6 cylinder. It is quick, but I woould not call it fast. I was curious about the top end of this model. The best we have gotten so far is 145 mph, which i think is pretty impressive. The car is great the faster you go, but out of the blocks my 5.0 stang kicks beats it in the quarter mile every time, but then again my car still looks like a mustang.

smooth website! like many of you, i own and love my GTO dearly. unfortunately last summer, i neglected to put oil in the car and had to get a new short block--which cost 8 G's...yes, eight grand. i really thought i lost the gto forever. since then, i've been taking care of my baby and bought it new rims(konig 18"), tires(nitto), exhaust( apexi), and springs( intrax)....plus, upgrades on the stereo. anyways, i just want to say, GTO's are one of the most remarkable cars ever made. and please, remember to put oil in your cars!!!!!! hawaiianisland77@hotmail.com

I have a 3000 GT SL manual transmission, here in Venezuela we have no speed limits, (or anybody cares) and with the Mitsu is very difficult to go more than 130 mph, I think that any european car whit 220 HP an its weigth is able to reach 145 mph don´t you think that??. The engine deads at 6500 rpm in 4th gear (125mph aprox) so, i put 5th and slowly goes to 130mph. i can travel faster than SUVs and trucks , but a little C-mercedes or 325 BMW could be in front of me all the way long. Finally i´m happy whit the car and i want to know if you have performance data about the SL,like 0 to 60 acceleration and top speed, may be my car is under average? . Other cuestion: did you hear something from other owners about "fliying" over 120 mph? yes, i feel like to much air under car make it fligth on bumps at high speed.

Best regards

Thanks for the website. You site is not only very informative but is the basis for all work to be completed on my 3000gt. I am currently replacing my stock turbo's with a relatively new and radical single turbo charger. I will keep you posted on the results as soon as the upgrade is complete. As everyone else has said in the book, you run a superb site. Thank you. I'm glad the coolest url on the web is in good hands.

Do you have any good links to put up for sources of 3000GT parts on the web?

Does anyone that really knows a lot about the cars, disagree with this purchase? And if you could please send me a picture or a 3000GT preferably from the years of 91-93 I'd love to have a silver picture if at all possible, if anyone could be of some service to me, I would be greatly appreciative.

Great site!! I enjoy reviewing your site... and owning a '91 VR-4, I appreciate learning even more facinating features my car has as it has so many. I purchased my car used with 65k miles last year, and unfortunately, have had to have the engine rebuilt... the company who did the work was not a mitsubishi dealer, but a reputable dealer in indianapolis (supposedly). Anyway, just this week, the crankshaft broke. I am thankful for the parts and labor of my rebuilt engine are warrantied, however, am discouraged of how reliable it may be in the future... my concern for the workmanship done on my car has grown and I am wondering if I went to the wrong place to have the work done... I have arranged with my warranters to help them find any parts necessary to repair and re- rebuild my engine... do you know of any sites or places we may locate a new motor asap, I miss my car already... wish I could have my local Mitsubishi dealer work on it since they have a mac daddy tech who knows the VR-4 very well since he himself owns one... however, since it is warrantied by someone else, they are doing the work... thank you... bornholio3@aol.com

I have a '93 GT w/61,000 miles on it. I absolutely love it, and even after 6 years, I get a lot of compliments on it. It is in excellent condition, and is my dream car.

The Web Page is outstanding. I would just like to know if there is a 3000GT Car Club.

The 3000GT is a killer automobile. This is a nice site devoted to it. I put the GT up there with sports car greats as the NSX, Supra, and Viper. The GT's four-wheel independent steering is a great feature that is fairly unique. If Mitsubishi could somehow lighten up the 3000GT, it would really be quite the automobile. As is, it is a superb car, faster off the line than a stock MKIV Supra, but its 3,800+ curb weight detracts from its handling prowess. Its shortcomings pretty much end here. Its sweet 3-liter 6-cyl. with twin turbos (VR4) is one hell of an engine. And since it is the last of the top end Japanese sports cars, may it continue to survive and find longevity. The sad cancelling of the SVX, RX-7, 300ZX, and last year the Supra have left a gap in the sports car markets of the world today. Long live the 3000GT to carry on the tradition. -JD

I just bought a red 97-VR4 with 14000 miles. The car kicks BUTT! However, cops have been right behind me ever since i got it.

I raced a 98 corvette and without a doubt the vette got beaten. I don't even bother racing with Mustangs.

girls love it!

NICE site! And nice articles. Wasn't even looking at this car on a recent car-shopping expedition until i test drove one for kicks & giggles. Stopped looking at other cars (This car can REALLY handle corners!!). Threw the budget out the window, hunted on the web and was willing to travel upto 200 miles to get one. Finally got a '94 standard (alas!) about 2 miles from my place. Buyers try cars.com - they scan magazine ads. Got mine even before it appreared in print. Have loved it since.

Thanks for ur site. will be a freq. visitor.

Great Site! I am a very proud owner of a '91 3000GT/SL. It makes me feel even better that there is a 3000GT website dedicated to this car. I plan to upgrade my 3000GT soon according to the Modifications part of this website. The information regarding 3000GT modifications is quite usefull. I am waiting for the specs for the '91 to be available. If any of you would like to see a picture of my 3000GT/SL please visit: http://www.gtown.com/3000GT

Dear 3000GT Fans, Many of you guys perhaps know me as VR4SHAWN97 as my screen name on Aol. Well i am very happy to say that i recently trade my 1997 red 3000GT VR4 for a 1999 black 3000GTVR4, allthough personally i haven't found any difference with the performance, As a matter of fact it drives same as my previous 97 vr4, but allthough i have to say i love the cosmetic changes that Mitsubishi has made in 1999 3000GT & thats some thing that really got me impressed. i had the vr4 almost 3 weeks & so, far i drove already 856 miles.... Once again as always i think nothing is better then a 3000GT wether it's a base, SL, or my favorite VR4.

I was happy to find a somewhat decent FAQ for installing a boost controller in the FAQ area. That helped out a lot.

Nice web. Definitely one of the top if not the best 3000GT site on the net. I just bought a 97 VR4. I'm in love with it and I've only had it a week. I'm going to be adding some 3000 GT pages to my site http://thecarsource.com. The VR4 is one awesome car. I'd like to learn more about the modifications. I'd like to see them in stages from mild to wild with links to suppliers with some est. costs. Dennis Begley

hi. my name is katie. i am sad to hear that you will stop making the Mitsubishi 3000GT. my friend has a 1992 3000GT VR-4. he likes it, but i love it. i fell in love with the car the first day i saw it. i usually dont like foreign cars, but this one was an acception. is it true that it can be a convertible also? i saw your homepage on here and some pictures showed it could fold down into the trunk. the top that is. wow! my friend is going to paint his silver. he was curious if he should turn it into a convertible or not. now i know you can get ones like that. one more thing, is it also true that the Mitsubishi Eclipse will be taking over in the 3000GT's spot? hmmm..if so, thats cool. keep up the good work and keep them coming.

sincerely, katie bird

Hi! I'm a '97 3000GT SL owner and I love my car, but this past weekend a Stealth R/T turbo blew my little SL's doors off; so I would like to consider an upgrade. What would be better? a turbo, a supercharger, or a NOS system. Can I even get these modifications for my car. e-mail me: avlowe@fuse.net

I own a 3000GT and have to say it's one of the best cars I've ever driven. Now to the other cars. RX-7:Rotary engines are shit, ask any mechanic. TT Supra:It's pretty good, but can You afford one? If so ,you're lacking the handling of a VR-4. Other cars such as cameros, don't even compare. If you have any idea what you're talking about you would know that a fully up-graded VR-4 has the highest peak horsepower and fastest quarter mile.(I'm talking about a 935+hp VR-4) which I hate to say, would take ANY TT Supra or RX-7 at the drag strip. Get the facts straight before talking any trash about the 3000GT.

Don't race against a stock VR-4 and brag that you won. Everyone knows that some of the factory parts limit performance. Race one that's been tuned and you'll see that your bragging was short lived.

To the camaro guy who thinks his car will last longer than a 3000 gt or stealth. I have owned a couple of new z28's as well as some of every generation from a 68 327 4spd, 74lt1 to a 91z28 and 97ss. I own a pair of 91 and 93 (my favourites) stealth rt twin turbo's and the build quality, handleing, all-weather performance and reliability cannot be matched by any generation camaro. That's why they cost twice as much and will probably last twice as long. I am a volvo engineer (engine group) and the materials used to build a stealth/3000gt cost more than a camaro because it's built from better stuff. Don't take my word for it, there's plenty of test/reliability data out there showing that the awd cars are one of the most technologically advanced cars the world has ever seen

regarding the diff. between the stealth and 3000gt, i own a 94 r/t and if i change the rear lights, (which i was thinking about doing) spoiler, the airbag cover, front bumper(or get a bra) and the rims its the same exact car. i have taken my car apart numerous times to do my stereo everything says mitshubishi on it. besides stealth's look better.

yo i read some of the comments made from the last couple of months to see if i could find some rims for my car, (94 stealth r/t non turbo). i have 1 mod to my car, and that is a racing automatic tranny (i hate auto so might as well make it quick) and i have beaten a 95 trans am,97 mustang cobra, older camaro's and mustangs like silly, went nose to nose w/ a 300z the only thing that beat me was a newer supra t/t that jumped the gun, this was all off the line.

The dealership refuses to do anything about it even though it's still under warranty. PLMK. Thanks. sjfirebird@aol.com

I love your horsepower calculator based upon 1/4 mile time, speed and weight. I thought I knew the formula but it doesn't compute right. It's driving me nuts. Is it:

1/4 mile time squared, divided by elapsed time, times weight of car with driver, divided by 1ooo, divided by 9.1? Please e-mail me at KenSe@vsp.com Thank-you

I am a proud owner of a 97 3000gt, the people who say that other cars are better or faster need to leave this page. This page is designed for 3000gt owners or people who would like to own these cars. I bought this car based on my wants. They will become collectors items in a few years. To all you 3000 owners keep the wax on on drive in style.

Kickass page! ever since I was 11 I wanted a 3000gt (which was 6 years ago). I love the VR4 it has the best styling under a Ferrari but the 99' model could lose that square wing. I hope I can get my hands on a 97' VR4 soon.

Hey, GREAT Site! Just bought a '94 3KGT base model, DOHC, Red with black interior. Best part about the sale was the dealer thought it was a '93 and I talked him down to '93 KBB value! Drilled the airbox and added a K&N, removed the resonator bottle and(most important) put a radar detector in it. It's just too much fun to go fast in this car. I have lusted after this car ever since I test drove one 3 years ago. I'm a 3D computer artist for a living and hope to dedicate a section of my web site to my car soon. Check it out: <href= http://www.renderwerks.com>; Keep up the good work, you have a KICK ASS site!!!

I'm curious why the lack of support materials for the SL model as well the lack of aftermarket parts for this vehicle also in the SL line up. I have found very few or knowledgable people on this subject, I have spoken with sales staff from every touted "Highend, Hi-performace, we know everything" shops that boast they know alot about the 3000GT. I've found that even when you do find an after market part for this car, the sales rep or tech on the other end of the line has trouble figuring out which model number of the product matchs the 3000GT SL model. I've owned Mitsu's for year stemming from many Conquest TSI's that I have made many a mod to and still to date there is yet to be an Authority on Mitsu's high performance Vehicles. Your source seems to be the best so far. But the is a lack here of information on suspension and the SL line-up.

Why is it there is such a source of informaiton for the TOYBOX cars like the Accords, Civic's and GEO, what gives with this? If you want a fast performance car, why buy one of those when you can start with a real performance car the "3000GT". Let all the aftermarket manufactures like Greddy, HKS, Neuspeed and others get with the program and stop playing with making toys fast!

Just bought a '92 Stealth R/T Twin Turbo. I bought one new in '92, but traded it in '94 on an Accord (I am deeply ashamed.) The Accord is long since gone, but my latest new car is a '99 Z28. I was looking for a good winter car so I didn't have to drive the Z28 in the snow (305 hp through two tires doesn't work in the snow, even with traction control). I had forgotten had good the Stealth was. My original plan was to use the Stealth as a beater car, but a little seat time has convinced me that the Z28 is history when the lease is up. I'd like to know how the AWD driveline holds up to 10 and 11 second quarter miles. The Stealth/3000GT is built on the Diamante platform, and I have some durability concerns. My car has 80,000 miles on the clock. What sort of problem areas should I look for before I modify the car in search of sub 12 second ETs?

I love my 91 3000GT that I just bought!! This is one awesome machine. I really need to fix it up though. I want kick-ass wheels and want to modify the front end. I have already dropped a pretty penny fixing the engine,cv axles, master cylinder... Yeah I know, some owners abuse their cars. I looked for many years for this baby though, and now I have it, I want to keep it forever. Keep up the great work on the site!!! Definitely the most informative site on the 3000's I have ever seen. I am in the process of purchasing a '92 vr4 for the lowest price I have ever seen. I plan on doing some minor engine mods but mainly sticking to asthetics. If you are looking for an exceptional looking body kit check out the kits at: www.veilsideusa.com. They have the best lookng kits I have seen and they don't look like kits you would find on some of the other less favorable imports. The only other thing I could add about the site is to add the prices on alot of the items that you have in the mods area. There are not that many dealers that know of the mod parts for 3000's. Thank you for the excellent site!

Hey Brett, I hear what you are sayin man, There are no cars quicker off the start than late 60's muscle cars...can anyone say '69 Chevelle SS 454...anyway, some of these guys are right, older cars can not perform all around as good as today's cars...as for calling turbos, and saying that they aren't good, just because people did not have to use them back then...try using your computer without a monitor, cuz that is how they used to work! :-) Don't get me wrong, I love classic cars, I own a '67 LeSabre, and even at 3 tons, (yes, 6000 lbs!) my car will still do the quarter mile as fast as a stock vr4...but it handles like a brick at high speeds!...as for you haters of old cars, RWD cars can be driven in the snow, I drive mine, you just have to learn how drive better! I have driven FWD, 4WD, AWD and I like RWD the best, cuz I can use my gas to control my car's swing in the snow where an AWD or 4WD car will slide sideways because all wheels spin! and FWD cars are good for traction as well as 4WD and AWD, but when you need to steer in the snow, think again! I love classics, and new cars, they both have different qualities!

Ihave been a car dealer in the Toronto CDN area for over 13 years and have driven almost every kind of sports car out there. I own a 97 3000 gtvr4 with 20k miles and i have never wanted to keep a car for a daily driver until i drove a 3000 gtvr4. IT is one of the most head turning, awsome cars out there. I don,t know of too many cars i can drive at a 145 miles per hour in the pouring rain. I am looking forward to adding a extra 75 hp this winter but I'm having trouble deciding how to go aboutit and finding some up here who knows enough about these cars.

Nice site..I like the 3000's but they could have been built better I think.. I bought a gt3000 base new in '98 to escape the weekly P.O.S. car problems I was having..So far, broke down with electrical problem "ok" it can happen..it's got 30k on it and have recently been having problems with front end/ Tires/calipars..I'm a fairly conservative "mellow" driver and maintain the car very well..For the money, I think you can do better but its a fun car to drive. I also have an old RX7 from the 80's, 4 speed though, sitting behind my house that I can't seem to part with. I've had my GT up to 125 and there was plenty left in the peddle but I was satisfied at that point.. The handling at that speed was excellent..even better than in the 45-65 range..I think there are several inprovements that could have made this car even better...mostly little annoying things but as a customer, I think my satisfaction would be higher from some small but modest changes. I'd like to find some good aftermarket parts...like door window shields..Can't open the windows in the rain at all(unless you like getting wet while you drive).. Being short..The clutch on the RX is a better fit.. The seatbelt base is constantly getting lodged between the seat and the floor sidewall, if you will. I think folks with long legs would do ok in the gt. Well, those my thoughts for the day. Thanks

Hey fellas , this is one tight site . Im a 17 and have about 15 grand (including trade in value of my blazer ) to buy a car with . I am looking at sports cars and the 3000GT is the best looking one ive seen . Can you give me some suggestions on buying a VR-4 or SL model .Buying a VR-4 i would have to buy an older model like a 90-92 and reliability would be a question . But the SL's dont have the performance i want to smoke those Z28's , Formulas , and Mustang GTs off the line .VR-4 owners please give me some advice on what you would recommend and tell me about the reliability of the car . Thanks alot guys ... email me at KyLeDsTyLe@aol.com

Hey if you wanna beat those z28's off the line... Get an SL and soup it up! The SL is 222HP or so ..just soup it up.. Nitrous! Razo Pedals..ect.

An old VR4 well.. yeah reliability is a big factor.. with 15 k to spend .. Your going to have to get an old car anyways.. 15 k is perfect for a mazdaRX-7 youll smoke those Z28s... although 94' is the last year they made.

Compare to us Stealth's over here. The only thing the 3000GT has wrong with it, is the spoiler position. I don't know if I am the only one out there that doesn't like that unsightly area right below the rear window where the rear window wiper is. I wont put any other spoiler on my Stealth becuase I like the spoiler closer to the window covering up that little area. Other than that 3000GT's are just fine. I like them. Eclipse's suck!!! I hate those cars!

I'd like to take this time to reply to the big-mouthed show-off who claims to have beaten a trubo-charged Impreza. I own an Impreza and take this accusation very seriously. We all know that a simple base model 3000GT could never come close to touching a true Impreza. First of all, the horsepower, torque, throttle-response and a.w.d. system are facts enough as to why this asshole is lying. Besides, did you consider this? Why would an all wheel drive vehicle, drop the ass end while down shifting? This happens when weight is transfered to the rear tires, to provide power, such as is the case in rear-wheel drive vehicles. The Impreza is AWD you illiterite fuck, also, it doesn't have enough weight or torque to throw such a light car backwards upon down-shifting. Get your facts straight and tell me the last time a Mitsubishi 3000GT won a Rally Race? Impreza won in 94 and 96 and is running for this year's title.

i just wanted to know if anyone knew where i can get clear corner lights for my '94 vr-4. I've looked everywhere for them, but could not find them. I'm also looking for the GTO emblem for the 3000gt. Someone told me to re-letter the 3000gt to make gto, but i saw that the japnese version of the car looks different. Thank respond to pdpbabe@netzero.net

I do not own a 3000GT, but within two weeks I will. The reason I decided to buy one was so I could beat my friends 300zx. I hope it will.

hey, just found the site - what happened to the "war stories" part of the site - it hasnt been active for ages (or thats how it looks). You guys all seem to be into 3000GTs. I live in Australia, and we havent had them new since 93. You seem to think M3s are slow. I have read that America gets detuned M3s, with a lot less power. We get Euro spec M3s, and i assure you a standard M3 would smoke a standard 3000GT. Around 13.3 1/4 mile is about the average - with 320 hp(standard). Anyways: i really like your war stories, and ive got a good one, so could someone please send me a quick mail at jamesom07@hotmail.com to tell me where it is now; or where to write my story.

Cheers.

I feel that the 3000GT VR-4/Stealth R/T are the the best AWD sports cars available. Having driven a '92 and a '97 VR-4 plus a '95 R/T I can honestly say that they are the most exciting sports cars I've driven. But alas they got rid of that...then they got rid of the gsx eclipse

I just hope I can afford it. I'm looking for something like a red '96 I'd like it to have a CD and Air but if i'm going to get this kind of car, I'm going to need a straight drive. I think they come standard with a stick shift.

Hello V6 3.0L brethren! I own a '93 Dodge Daytona IROC with the SOHC version of the 3KGT V6. Not turbo charged, but I'm looking to mod it up to spec with at least 1 Mopar 3 system. Anyone kno where I can get my hands on parts from a 3000GT Twin Turbo? Also, I heard Chrysler made a 24vavle mod for my engine, any hints?

I'll decide that I want another car, which usually lasts all of 2 weeks, then I'm back to dreaming about a VR-4. Hopefully, I'll get me a VR-4 and have it on your site. Ok people great site. I have been checking this site out since i bought my 92 VR4 last year in Aug.

You will see people talking shit about VR4's but trust me all your ram air v8 or corvette's any of them american cars hasn't been able to beet me off the line yet. Funny thing is mine is all stock.

All those people who wanted to know how much HP these cars are kicking out Well 91-93 > 300HP Stock 94-99 > 320HP Stock

That is to my knowledge.

To the guy who wants a Manual book for the car just go to any dealers website and order one.

To those guys who want accessories for their cars and do live in chicago my friend owns a Store up in Naperville called Speed and Sound He can most likely get any parts for your car. He deals with all the top vendors based out of California.

Tomorrow i will post up phone number

Oh the guy who wants to buy a VR4 to beat his friends 300ZX Well my buddy owns a 300ZX twin turbo and i beat him all the time off the line but on the highway its head to head. Both of ours are stock.

Hey, great looking site. I'm a former VR-4 owner, and I absolutely loved it (and would consider another one if it wasn't discontinued). I do want to make one thing clear here.I'm glad you all enjoy your cars, but you need to be more realistic. There is absolutely no way that a stock VR4/RT Turbo is faster than a C5 Corvette, or a Supra TT, at least not overall. Just try dropping the hammer against a C5 on the highway, or even a lowly LS1 Z28 will eat you up. Don't reply with stories that contradict that statement. Most of the time the other person isn't even racing you, dropped it in the wrong gear, or reacted too slowly. Of course, a VR4 can get them off the line---AWD, duh! But it's not uncommon for stock, broken-in C5's to hit upper 12's on nice cool nights. And that's with 110+mph trap speeds to boot. Put some slicks on, and low 12's are guaranteed. What I think that the 3000GT has always had going for it is it's uniqueness. This is the opposite of what magazine writers have said over the years, calling the car derivative. I think otherwise. I can't think of any other car who's styling I could possibly confuse with a 3000GT/Stealth or the driving feel of a VR4/RT Turbo. Also, no one gives credit to the VR4's brakes. I think they are among the strongest, best feeling brakes ever.

I am worried about the pulley system causing more strain on the belt. Do you have insight on this?

I own a subaru impreza 22b which has recently been chipped to create 320 bhp..I suppose 172 mph could kick the 3000 gt's flabby ass though right? you cant get better than a scooby. certainly not if its a mitsoo

OUtgassing of the material is from a plastisizer use to make the product plyable. Note that your windows keep getting greasey and the plastic gets stiffer. Nothing stays stable in the plastics field.

Great Site....Just found it today.. I once had a Mits 3000GTSL '93 Emerald Green. Got stolen from my driveway, Broke my heart ! Never found a piecr of it. Loved that car. They are hard to find now. I'm in the Houston area & have only found "2" for sale. They are asking $20,000 for a '99. Gonna sign the note tomorrow. Most that I have searched on the net want at least 28-34,000 $. I'm back on the road to happiness again. Love your site. Happy to join the 3000 team again Arlene in Houston

P.S. Why did they stop production on such a fine car?
